The 55th General Council of the Reformed Episcopal Church is quickly approaching. This year we are delighted to return to Dallas, TX. Church of the Holy Communion Pro-Cathedral is honored to be the host parish for this wonderful occasion and they are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Dallas area and making your visit a wonderful one.

Lunch will be available for all attendees on Wednesday June 14th at Noon. General Council will officially begin at 2pm with a worship service at the hotel. The Council will conclude when business is finished on Friday, June 16th. We have chosen to start with lunch and a 2:00pm opening worship service to allow Council attendees to travel on Wednesday morning, if desired. This might be a possible savings of one night of hotel for some. If you desire to arrive on Tuesday, hotel rooms will still be available for the discounted rate. IMPORTANT: All Diocese of Mid-America clergy & representatives should plan to arrive on Tuesday as we will conduct our Synod Business on Wednesday morning prior to lunch. A synod schedule and announcement will be distributed shortly.

All meals and activities for the Synod of the Diocese of Mid-America and for the Reformed Episcopal General Council will take place at the Embassy Suites DFW North hotel with the exception of the Thursday morning Communion service. This primary worship service will be held at Church of the Holy Communion on Thursday morning with the Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America preaching. Chartered bus transportation will be provided to/from the hotel to Church of the Holy Communion for the Thursday worship service.

Embassy Suites DFW North

Every room at the Embassy Suites includes:

  • -A two-room spacious suite with extra sofa-bed.

  • -Complimentary Manager's Cocktail Reception for 2 hours featuring beer, wine, cocktails and snacks
  • -Complimentary Shuttle to/from DFW Airport (available 24/7)

  • -Complimentary Self-Parking
The group rate is $159/nt. You are responsible for booking your own your hotel reservation using the Group Code for our event. You may call the hotel directly at 972-724-2600, ask for in-house reservations, and book under Group Code RGR. You can also visit www.embassysuitesdfwnorth.com and enter the group code RGR. This Group Code is available for Tuesday June 13th through and including Friday night June 16th. All rooms must be booked by Tuesday, May 23, 2017.

Please note, The Embassy Suites offers a free shuttle to/from DFW airport if you call and arrange in advance. This shuttle is available 24/7. This can save you the cost of a car rental if you fly to Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport (DFW). The shuttle is NOT available if you fly to Love Field.

Registration for General Council will cost $325. This registration cost will include:

  • -Full lunch buffets with hot carving stations on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
  • -Dinner buffet banquets on Wednesday and Thursday
  • -Chartered bus transportation to/from the Church for the Thursday morning worship service
  • -Cover other expenses associated with the council and worship services.
Note: Parents can purchase and pay a discounted rate for children's meals when completing their own reservations.

Registrations will be accepted online through our registration system. Each individual (excepting children) will need to complete a registration. Anyone arriving at General Council without completing an online registration form will be placed on a waiting list for meals based on availability.

Registration is now open and can be accessed through the link below. Registration is available for $325 per person through April 30th. Late registration will continue through May 24th but a late registration will cost $350.00.

Finally, all pastors or persons in charge of a parish MUST complete a parish certification form prior to May 15th. This certification form includes basic statistical information for the calendar years 2014, 2015, 2016 and a certification of duly elected lay representatives for General Council (deputies and alternates). This form may be completed online and will be available on this page shortly.

Diocese of Mid-America Synod

The Diocese of Mid-America will conduct its business on the morning of Wednesday, June 14th prior to lunch and the start of General Council. All Diocese of Mid-America attendees should plan to arrive to the hotel on Tuesday, June 13th.
